ORDINANCE NO. 793
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
SECTION 7211 ESTABLISHING
WATER RATES
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 7211 of the
Municipal Code of the City of
Newport Beach, entitled "Meter
Rates" is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 7211. Meter Rates. For
the period commencing Septem.
ber 15, 1956, where water is fur-
nished through a meter for do-
mestic use and all business pur-
poses other than agriculture, the
monthly rate for water consumed
shall be as follows:
For %.inch meters, first 700
feet or less ...... ..........................$2.55
For 1 -inch meter, first 1,000
feet or less ...... ..........................$2.91
For 1% -inch meters, first 1,300
feet or less .... ..........................$3.27
For 2 -inch meters, first 1,600
feet or less . . . . .. ..........................$3.63
For 3 -inch meters, first 1,800
feet or less _ ... ...........................$3.87
For each additional 100 cu.
feet.................... ..........................$0.12
Water rates may be established
from time to time by resolution
of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach."
SECTION 2: This ordinance
shall be published at least once
in the Newport Harbor Ensign, a
newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in the city
of Newport Beach and shall take
effect 30 days after its final pas-
sage.
The foregoing ordinance was
introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach held on the 23rd
day of July, 1956, and was fi-
nally passed and adopted on the
13th day of August, 1956, by the
following vote, to -wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart,
Wilder, MacKay, Stoddard, Rid -
derhof, Hill.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Higbie.
