ORDINANCE NO. 857
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING DISTRICT MAPS
NOS. 13, 23 AND 31 ADOPT-
ED BY SECTION 9102.2 OF
THE NEWPORT BEACH MU-
NICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO ZONING.
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: The following de-
scribed real property in the City
of Newport Beach, County of Or-
ange, State of California, to wit:
Lots 1 through 7 in Tract
1723, as per map recorded in
Miscellaneous Map Book 50,
Page 31, Records of said Or-
ange County,
as shown on District Map No. 13
attached to Ordinance No. 635
and as referred to in Section
9102.2 of the Newport Beach Mu-
nicipal Code and made a part of
Article IX of said Code, be, and
the same is, hereby rezoned from
an R -2 District to an R -1 District
and said Map No. 13 is hereby
amended to show this zoning
change.
SECTION 2: The following de-
scribed real property in the City
of Newport Beach, County of Or-
ange, State of California, to wit:
Lots 1 through 20 in Tract
3283, as per map recorded in
Miscellaneous Map Book 101,
Pages 33 and 34, Records of
said Orange county,
as shown on District Map No. 23
attached to Ordinance No. 635
and as referred to in Section
9102.2 of the Newport Beach Mu-
nicipal Code and made a part of
Article IX of said Code, be, and
the same is, hereby rezoned from
a U District to an R -1 District and
said Map No. 23 is hereby
amended to show this zoning
change.
SECTION 3: The following de-
scribed real property in the City
of Newport Beach, County of Or-
ange, State of California, to wit:
Lots 1 through 177 in Tract
3357, as per map recorded
in Miscellaneous Map Book
107, Pages 1 through 7, Rec-
ords of said Orange County,
as shown on District Map No. 31
attached to Ordinance No. 635
and as referred to in Section
9102.2 of the Newport Beach Mu-
nicipal Code and made a part of
Article IX of said Code, be, and
the same is, hereby rezoned from
a U District to an R -1 -B District
and said Map No. 31 is hereby
amended to show this zoning
change.
SECTION 4: The City Engineer
of the City of Newport Beach is
hereby instructed and directed
to change District Maps Nos. 13,
23 and 31 so as to show the zon-
ing changes described in Sec-
tions 1, 2 and 3 hereof, and, as
said District Maps shall have
been so amended, the same shall
remain in full force and effect
and be a part of Ordinance No.
635 of the City of Newport Beach
and Article IX of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance
shall be published once in the
Newport Harbor Ensign, a news.
paper of general circulation,
printed and published in the City
of Newport Beach, and the same
shall be effective 30 days after
the date of its adoption.
This Ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the 25th day of
August, 1958, and was adopted
on the 8th day of September,
1958, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: HART,
LORENZ, SOMERS, KINGSLEY,
ATKINSON, HIGBIE. STODDARD.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: NONE.
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: NONE.
