ORDINANCE NO. 884
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMEND-
ING SECTION 6113.3 OF THE
NEWPORT BEACH MUNICI-
PAL CODE RELATING TO
BUSINESS LICENSES,
The City Council of the City of
Newport Beach does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1: Section 6113.3 of
the Newport Beach Municipal
Code is amended to read:
"SECTION 6113.3. Selling
from Vehicles Prohibited.
Except for fresh fruits and
vegetables, bakery goods
and dairy products, no li-
cense shall be granted for
and no person shall engage
in the business upon the
public streets of selling ta-
males, tacos, sandwiches,
peanuts, beans, candies or
other foodstuff for immedi-
ate consumption from motor
vehicles, wagons, handcarts,
trays or baskets, or of vend-
ing of any kind."
SECTION 2. This ordinance
shall be published once In the
Newport Harbor Ensign, a news•
paper of general circulation,
printed and published in the
City of Newport Beach, and the
same shall be effective 30 days
after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the 8th day of
June, 1959, and was adopted on
the 13th day of July, 1959, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kings.
ley, Atkinson, Stoddard, Hart,
Lorenz, Somers.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Hig-
ble.
