n <br />u <br />ORDINANCE NO. 943 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH <br />ADDING SECTION 3265.1 TO <br />THE NEWPORT BEACH MU- <br />NICIPAL CODE RELATING <br />TO STREET PARKING OF <br />TRAILERS OR SEMITRAIL- <br />ERS ON BALBOA ISLAND. <br />The City Council of the City <br />of Newport Beach does ordain as <br />follows: <br />SECTION L Section 3265.1 is <br />added to the Newport Beach Mu- <br />nicipal Code to read: <br />"SECTION 3265.1 Use of <br />Streets on Balboa Island for <br />Storage of Trailers or Semi. <br />'Trailers Prohibited. (a) No Per- <br />son who owns or has possession, <br />custody or control of any trailer <br />or semitrailer shall stop, stand <br />or park such trailer or semi- <br />trailer upon any public street on <br />Balboa Island between the hours <br />of 12 o'clock midnight and 8 <br />o'clock A. M. unless it is attached <br />to a motor vehicle capable of <br />moving such trailer or semi- <br />trailer. <br />(b) The City Traffic Engineer <br />shall appropriately sign the <br />,streets on Balboa Island giving <br />notice of the provisions of this <br />.section and no person shall park <br />any trailer or semitrailer in <br />violation of such signs or the <br />provisions of this section." <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance <br />shall be published once in the <br />official newspaper of the City <br />and the same shall be effective <br />30 days after the date of its <br />adoption. <br />This ordinance was introduced <br />at a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Newport <br />Beach held on the 28th day of <br />November, 1960, and was adopted <br />on the 12th day of December, <br />1960, by the ,following vote, to <br />wit: <br />AYES, COUNCILMEN: Cook, <br />Stoddard, Somers, Lorenz, <br />Hart <br />NOES, COUNCILMEN: At- <br />kinson, Kingsley. <br />A B S E N T COUNCILMEN: <br />None. <br />JAMES B.
