ORDINANCE NO, 1020
AN ORDINANCEOF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING
SECTION 7209 TO THE NEW-
PORT BEACH MUNICIPAL
CODE PROVIDING FOR AN
ANNUAL INCREASE IN SER-
VICE FEES
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 7209 is
added to the Newport Beach
Municipal Code to read:
"SECTION 7209. Service
Fees - Annual Increase. Ef-
fective January 1, 1963, and
automatically thereafter on
the first day of January of each
successive year to and includ-
ing the year 1983, the fees
charged pursuant to Section
1208 shall be increased annu-
by adding the sum of Five
Dollars ($5. 00) to the fee re-
quired for each service install-
ation; provided, however , that
said annual fee increases shall
apply only to the installation
of new services and shall not
be applicable to the expansion
or enlargement of services
previously installed. The a-
foresaid annual fee increases
shall be cumulative. "
SECTION 2. Tuis ordinance
shall be published once in the
official newspaper of the City,
and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its
adoption.
This ordinance was introduced
at an adjourned regular meet-
ing of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held on
the 29th day of October, 1962,
and was adopted on the 13th
day of November, 1962, by the
following vote, to wit:

Stoddard, Gruber, Cook,
Hart, Marshall, Elder.
NOES, COUNCILMEN:
None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN:
Lorenz
