ORDINANCE NO. 1131
AN ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BRACH
AMENDING SECTIONS 3299.4
AND 3299.6 OF THE
NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING
TO DECREASED
SPEED LIMITS
The City Council of the City
of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 3299.4 of
the Newport Beach Municipal
Code is amended to read:
"SECTION 3299.4. Decreas.
ed Speed Limit — 45 M.P.1.
The prima facie speed limit
on the following named streets
or parts thereof shall be forty -
five (45) miles per hour.
Jamboree Road from East
Coast Highway to Palisades
Road.
Eastbluff Drive from Bixia
Street northerly to Jamboree
Road."
SECTION 2. Section 3299.6 of
the Newport Beach Municipal
Code is amended to read:
"SECTION 3299.6. Decreas-
ed Speed Limit — 35 M.P.H.
The prima facie speed limit
on the followingnamed streets
or putts thereof shall be thirty -
five (35) miles per hour.
Superior Avenue.
Jamboree Road from Bayside
Drive to Fast Coast Highway.
Fastbluff Drive from Bixia
Street southerly to Jamboree
Road."
SECTION 3. This ordinance
shall be published once in the
official newspaper of the City,
and the same shall be effective
30 days after the date of its
adomion.
This ordinance was introduced
at a regular meeting of the City .
Council of the City of Newport
Beach held on the 12th day of
July,1965, and was adopted on
the 26th day of July, 1965, by
the following vote, to wit-.
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Forgit
Cook, Gruber, Elder, Marshall, ,
Parsons.
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None,
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: Stod-
dard.
