HomeMy WebLinkAbout1148 - Sanitation Regulation Signs• THS:aem 12/15/65 ORDINANCE NO. 1148 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING SECTION 10500.1 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SIGNS CONCERNING SANITATION REGULATIONS The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 10500.1 is added to the Newport. Beach Municipal Code to read; "SECTION 10500.1. Signs Concerning Sanitation Re u- lations. The owner or operator of any commercial boat oc 3ng facility or marina located on the waters of Newport Bay shall install and maintain at his expense in conspicuous locations on the premises thereof standard signs to inform the public of the regula- tions prohibiting the discharge of toilets on any vessel into the waters of Newport Bay and other provisions of Chapter 5 of Article X of this Code which relate to harbor sanitation. Uniform standards and specifications for the design and general loca- tions of such signs shall be prescribed by the Joint Harbor Committee. Existing commercial boat docking facilities or marinas shall be brought into compli- ance with the requirements of this section on or before May 1, 1966.11 SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective 30 days after.the date of its adoption. This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 27th day of December 10th day of January to wit: ATTEST: City Clerk 196 5, and was adopted on the 1966 , by the following vote, AYES, COUNCILMEN: Parsons, Marshall, Elder, Gruber, Cook, Forgit, Shelton NOES, COUNCILMEN: None ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
