AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 14.12.090 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE WATER
RATES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 14.12.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read;
"14.12.090 QuantitCharges. In addition to the
readiness to serve charges set forth in this Chapter,
the rate for water supplied to consumers through a meter,
other than pursuant to a written contract approved by
the City Council, shall be as follows:
For the first 100,000 cubic
feet per month........... $0.27 per 100 cubic feet
For the next 150,000 cubic
feet per month........... $0.22 per 100 cubic feet
For all over 250,000 cubic
feet per month........... $0.17 per 100 cubic feet"
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
8th day of February 1971, and was adopted on the
22nd day of February 1971, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: McInnis, Kyrala, Rogers,
Hirth. Croul, Dostal, Parsons
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
