AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 11.08.030 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE IN CONNECTION WITH
CLOSING HOURS OF CORONA DEL MAR BEACHES
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 11.08.030 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"11.08.030 Use of Beaches at Night. A. PROHIBITED
HOURS. No person shall be allowed or permitted on any public
bay beaches and any ocean front beaches in the City, EXCEPT
the Corona Del Mar State and City Park Beach, the Little Corona
Beach, or any of the other beaches in Corona Del Mar located
easterly of the Harbor entrance, between the hours of 12:00
midnight and 6 :00 a.m. of the following day.
B. CORONA DEL MAR BEACHES. No person shall be
toallowed or permitted on the Corona Del Mar State and City Park
Beach, the Little Corona Beach, or any of the other beaches in
Corona Del Mar located easterly of the Harbor entrance, between
the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m, of the following day.
C. TEMPORARY MODIFICATION. In the event of special
circumstances so warranting, the City Manager in his judgment
is hereby authorized and empowered to modify temporarily the
hours established in Paragraphs A and B hereof by first filing
each such modification and the specified period thereof with the
City Clerk."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the
6 official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective

30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 12th
day of April , 1971, and was adopted on the 26th
day of April , 1971, by the following vote, to wit:
