ORDINANCE NO. 1534
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
REZONING PROPERTY AND AMENDING DISTRICTING
MAPS NOS. 24, 37 AND 48
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The following described real property
in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, to wit:
Portions of Block 55 and Block 94, Irvine Subdivi-
sion, as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 1,
page 88, of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Parcel 1
as shown on a map thereof as recorded in Book 12, page 21,
Parcel Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Orange
County, said point being a point on the easterly right -
of -way line of Jamboree Road (132' wide); thence north
along said easterly right -of -way line to an intersection
with the southerly right -of -way line of Santa Barbara
Drive (101' wide); thence southeasterly along said
southerly right -of -way line a distance of 3401+ to an
intersection with the boundary of a lease to the Irvine
Coast Country Club recorded May 4, 1965 in Book 7508,
page 166 of Official Records of Orange County as shown
in Book 82, pages 37 and 38, Record of Survey, in the
office of the County Recorder of Orange County; thence
southerly and easterly along said boundary of the Irvine
Coast Country Club lease, to the northerly corner of
Lot 1, as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 7815,
page 557, official records of Orange County; thence con-
tinuing along said boundary of the Irvine Coast Country
Club lease, the northeasterly lot line of said Lot 1, to
the easterly corner of said Lot 1, thence leaving the
boundary of the Irvine Coast Country Club lease, south-
westerly along the southeasterly lot line of said Lot 1
to the southerly corner of said Lot 1, a point on the
northerly right -of -way line of Pacific Coast Highway,
thence northwesterly along the southwesterly line of
said Lot 1, the northerly right -of -way line of Pacific
Coast Highway, to the westerly corner of said Lot 1,
thence continuing northwesterly along said northerly
right -of -way line to the southeasterly corner of Par-
cel 1 as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 12,
page 21, Parcel Maps, in the office of the County Re-
corder, County of Orange; thence northerly and westerly
along the boundary of Parcel 1 to the point of beginning,
as shown on Districting Maps Nos. 24, 37 and 48, referred to in
Section 10.06.030 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, and by

such reference made a part of Title 20 of said Code, are hereby
rezoned from the Unclassified District to the Planned Community
District, and said Districting Maps Nos. 24, 37 and 48 are hereby
amended to show this zoning.
SECTION 2. The Director of the Community Development
Department of the City of Newport Beach is hereby instructed
and directed to change Districting Maps Nos. 24, 37 and 48 to
show the zoning changes described in Section 1 hereof, and as
said Districting Maps shall have been so amended, the same shall
be in full force and effect and be a part of Title 20 of the
Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
12th day of November , 1973, and was adopted on the
17th day of December , 1973, by the following vote, to
wit:
