AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 12.12.060 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH A PARKING
PERMIT SYSTEM FOR THE PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY
CITY PARKING LOT
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 12.12.060 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
"12.12.060 Pacific Coast Highway Parking Lot
A. PARKING PERMIT. It shall be unlawful for any person
to park a vehicle in the Pacific Coast Highway Parking
Lot, located on the northwest corner of Pacific Coast
Highway and Newport Boulevard, without first obtaining
a current valid parking permit issued by the Finance
Director. Such parking permit shall be effective only
when affixed to the left rear bumper of the vehicle.
• B. PERMIT FEES. The Pacific Coast Highway Parking Lot

permit shall cover the period from October 1 to September 30
of each year, payable based on the following fee schedule:
Monthly ...................... $ 5.00
Quarterly ....................... $15.00
prorated accordingly.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective 30 days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
9th day of December , 1974, and was adopted on the

23rd day of December 1974, by the following vote,
to wit:
