ADDING SECTION 14.24.065 TO THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING A SEWER
USE CHARGE

The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:

SECTION 1. Section 14.24.065 is hereby added to
the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read as follows:
1114.24.065 Sewer Use Charge. A sewer use charge
is hereby established and shall be based on a flat fee
per sewer connection plus an extra charge for additional
units.
For each additional living unit connected to a
single sewer connection, the extra charge shall be one -
half the basic flat fee. For each hotel and hospital
room, the extra charge shall be one - quarter the basic
flat fee. The basic flat.fee per sewer connection is
hereby established as $1.50 per month."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 12th
day of June
1978, and was adopted on the
26th
day of June 1978, by the following vote,
