AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING PORTIONS OF DISTRICTING MAPS NOS.
1, 2 AND 46 TO RECLASSIFY FROM THE R -2,
R -3, C -1 AND UNCLASSIFIED DISTRICTS TO THE
O -S OPEN SPACE DISTRICT CERTAIN PROPERTIES
IN WEST NEWPORT LOCATED ON THE NORTHERLY SIDE
OF WEST COAST HIGHWAY WESTERLY OF SUPERIOR
AVENUE COMMONLY KNOWN AS CALTRANS WEST AND ON
THE SOUTHERLY SIDE OF WEST COAST HIGHWAY
BETWEEN 56TH STREET AND THE SANTA ANA RIVER
COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE PACIFIC ELECTRIC RIGHT -
OF -WAY (AMENDMENT NO. 528)
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The following described real property in
the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California,
CalTrans West -
A portion of Lot 1, Tract No. 463; a portion
of Lot 1, Tract No. 2250; and a portion of
Lot D, Banning Tract,
as shown on Districting Map No. 46, and
West Newport Park and Pacific Electric Right -
of -Way
Tract No. 4400,
as shown on Districting Maps Nos. l and 2
referred to in Section 20.06.030 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code, and by such reference made a part of Title 20 of said Code,
is hereby rezoned from the Unclassified District (CalTrans West)
and the R -2, R -3 and C -1 Districts (West Newport Park and
Pacific Electric Right -of -Way) to the O -S Open Space District
and said Districting Maps Nos. 1, 2 and 46 are hereby amended
to show this zoning.
. SECTION 2. The Director of the Community Development
Department of the City of Newport Beach is hereby instructed and
directed to change said Districting Maps Nos. 1, 2 and 46 to

show the zoning change described in Section 1 hereof, and as
said Districting Maps shall have been so amended, the same
shall be in full force and effect and be a part of Title 20 of
the Newport Beach Municipal Code.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
the official newspaper of the City., and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting_
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
12th day of March, 1979, and was adopted on the 26th day of
March, 1979, by the following vote, to wit:
