AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
ADDING SECTION 1.25.075 TO THE.NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING THE DATE
AFTER WHICH CONTRIBUTIONS BY MAJOR CAMPAIGN
CONTRIBUTORS WILL BE COVERED BY SECTION
1.25.065 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL
CODE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach on February 11, 1980, adopted Ordinance No. 1835
which added certain sections to Chapter 1.25 of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code relating to the disqualification of
City Council members from voting on matters affecting major
campaign contributors; and
WHEREAS, to establish the earliest date contribu-
tions will be considered in regard to establishing when a
0 person becomes a major campaign contributor; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for Ordinance No. 1835
to apply to the April 1980 election and elections held
thereafter,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 1.25.075 is hereby added to
the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read as follows:
"1.25.075 Application of Section 1.25.065. The
provisions of Section 1.25.065 regarding the disquali-
fication.7of City Council members from voting on matters
affecting major.campaign
contributors. shall
apply to

contributions made during
and after the last
quarter

This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
25th day of February 1980, and was adopted on
the 10th day of March. , 1980, by the
following vote, to wit:

This ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
25th day of February 1980, and was adopted on
the 10th day of March. , 1980, by the
