HomeMy WebLinkAbout1841 - Amending Section 12.32.020(B) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code to Prohibit Commercial Vehicles Exceeding 6,000 Pounds from Operating on Dover Drive Between Westcliff Drive and Irvine Avenue and on Cliff Drive Between Dover Drive and Irvine Avenu• • • • s • ORDINANCE NO. 1841 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION 12.32.020(b) OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES EXCEEDING 6,000 POUNDS FROM OPERA- TING ON DOVER DRIVE BETWEEN WESTCLIFF DRIVE AND IRVINE AVENUE AND ON CLIFF DRIVE BETWEEN DOVER DRIVE AND IRVINE AVENUE The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES ORDAIN as follows: SECTION 1. Section 12.32.020(b) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: "12.32.020(b) The following streets are the streets designated by the City Council upon which commercial vehicles exceeding 6,000 pounds gross weight may not be operated: 1. Acacia Avenue from Coast Highway to Pacific Drive; 2. Back Bay Drive from San Joaquin Hills Road to Eastbluff Drive; 3. Begonia Avenue from Coast Highway to Pacific Drive; 4. Carnation Avenue from Coast Highway to Bayside Drive; 5. Goldenrod Avenue from Coast Highway to First Avenue; 6. Heliotrope Avenue from.Coast Highway to Bayside Drive;. 7. First Avenue from Acacia Avenue to Iris Avenue; S. Avocado Avenue from Coast Highway to Waterfront Drive; 9. Dahlia Avenue from Coast Highway to First Avenue; 10. Fernleaf Avenue from Coast Highway to First Avenue; 11. Iris Avenue from First Avenue to Bayside Drive; 12. Jasmine Avenue from First Avenue to Bayside Drive; 13. Larkspur Avenue from Coast Highway to Bay - side Drive; 14. Waterfront Drive from Avocado Avenue to Acacia Avenue; 15. Second Avenue from Avocado Avenue to Helio- trope Avenue; 16. Third Avenue from Avocado Avenue to Fernleaf Avenue; 17. Fourth Avenue from Avocado Avenue to Dahlia Avenue; 18. Dover Drive from Westcliff Drive to Irvine Avenue; 19. Cliff Drive from Dover Drive to Irvine Avenue." • • • C • • SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective thirty. (30) days after the date of its adoption.
