AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING SECTION 14.12.150 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH BY RESO-
LUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL A WATER SERVICE
TURN -ON CHARGE
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 14.12.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is amended to read:
0 "14.12.150 Turn -on Charges. When water service
to any premises has been turned off because of nonpayment
of a bill or violation of any of the provisions of this
Chapter, or ordered turned off by the owner or tenant, a
turn -on charge in an amount established by resolution of
the City Council shall be collected in advance."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be
effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption.
• This ordinance was.introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the
27th day of May , 1980, and was adopted on
the 9th day of June , 1980, by the following
vote, to wit:
