HomeMy WebLinkAbout1888 - Adding Section 11.08.055 To the Newport Beach Municipal Code Prohibiting Dangerous Articles on any Beach or Adjacent SidewalksORDINANCE NO. 1888 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADDING SECTION 11.08.055 TO THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING DANGEROUS ARTICLES ON ANY BEACH OR ADJACENT SIDEWALKS 0 The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Section 11.08.055 is hereby added to the Newport Beach Municipal Code to read as follows: Section 11.08.055 Dangerous Articles - Glass Containers on Beach. No person shall have, possess or use any dangerous article or container such as a bottle, glass, crockery or other article used for carrying or containing any liquid for drinking purposes upon any beach or adjacent sidewalk area in the City of Newport Beach. This prohibition shall also apply to any beach in the County -owned property known as the Harry Welsh Memorial Park, also sometimes referred to as the Newport Dunes. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption. This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the day of Sept. 28 , 1981, and was adopted on the 13th day of October , 1981, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCIL MEMBERS Hummel, Cox, Hart, Heather.
