ORDINANCE NO. 85 -16
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AMENDING 914.12.090 OF THE N.B.M.C.
ESTABLISHING THE BASIC WATER QUANTITY RATE
AT 81 CENTS PER HUNDRED CUBIC FEET EFFECTIVE
JULY it 1985.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 14.12.090 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
1114.12.090 Quantity Charges.
(a) In addition to the readiness to serve charges set
forth in this Chapter, the rate for water supplied to consumers
through a meter, other than pursuant to a written contract
approved by the City Council, shall be $0.81 per 100 cubic feet,
per month, per meter.
(b) City water rates shall be adjusted to reflect
Metropolitan Water District rate changes.
(c) Should the automatic adjustment require a water
rate increase, the amount of the increase shall be added to the
quantity charges and shall be equal to the Metropolitan Water
District increase, raised to the next highest whole penny for
each 100 cubic feet used."
This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 28th day
of May , 1985, and Was adopted on the 10th day of June ,
1985 by the following vote:
