OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING CHAPTER 5.70 OF THE
NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO
NEWSRACKS.
• THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 5.70.025 C. 1. shall be amended to
read as follows:
C. Newsrack shall carry no advertising except:
1. The name of the newsrack of periodical
being dispensed on the bottom one -third (1/3)
of the plastic hood on the front of the
newsrack; and
SECTION 2. Section 5.70.025 E. shall be amended to read
as follows:
E. Frames and racks for all newsracks except
for newsracks along Marine Avenue on Balboa
Island shall be K -Jack Style Mounts Model 100
or approved equal with the height not to
exceed forty -eight (48) inches. Mounts shall
be bolted in place in accordance with
specifications provided by the City.

5.70.030 D. shall be added to read as
• D. Frames and racks for newsracks along
Marine Avenue on Balboa Island shall be K -Jack
Style Mounts Model 100 or approved equal with
the height not to exceed forty (40) inches.
Mounts shall be bolted in place in accordance
with specifications provided by the City.
SECTION 4. All remaining provisions of Chapter 5.70. of
the Newport Beach Municipal Code shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance was introduced at a regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, held
on the 10th day of November , 1986, and was adopted on
• the 24th day of November 1986, by the following vote,
to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS Cox, Hart,
Maurer, Plummer, Sansone, Strauss, Turner
