(Seaward Road)• • • ORDINANCE NO. 89 -23 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION 12.32.020 (b) OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT COMMERCIAL VEHICLES EXCEEDING 6,000 POUNDS FROM OPERATING ON CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS. (SEAWARD ROAD). The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby ordain as follows: Section 1: Section 12.32.020 (b) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is amended to read: 12.32.020 (b) . The following streets are the streets designated by the City Council upon which commercial vehicles exceeding 6,000 pounds gross weight may not be operated: 1. Acacia Avenue, from Coast Highway to Pacific Drive; 2. Avocado Avenue, from Coast Highway to Waterfront Drive; 3. Back Bay Drive, from San Joaquin Hills Road to Eastbluff Drive; 4. Begonia Avenue, from Coast Highway to Pacific Drive; 5. Carnation Avenue, from Coast Highway to Bayside Drive; 6. Cliff Drive, from Dover Drive to Irvine Avenue; 7. Dahlia Avenue from Coast Highway to First Avenue; 8. Dover Drive, from Westcliff Drive to Irvine Avenue; 9. First Avenue, from Acacia Avenue to Iris Avenue; 10. Fernleaf Avenue, from Coast Highway to First Avenue; 11. Fourth Avenue, from Avocado Avenue to Dahlia Avenue; 12. Goldenrod Avenue, from Second Avenue to First Avenue; 13. Heliotrope Avenue, from Second Avenue to Bayside Drive; 14. Jasmine Avenue, from First Avenue to Bayside Drive; 15. Larkspur Avenue, from Coast Highway to Bayside Drive; 16. San Miguel Drive, from San Joaquin Hills Road to MacArthur Boulevard; 17. Seaward Road, from East Coast Highway to Driftwood Road; 18. Seaward Road, from East Coast Highway to Morning Canyon Road; 1 • • 19. Second Avenue, from Avocado Avenue to Goldenrod Avenue; 20. Third Avenue, from Avocado Avenue to Fernleaf; 21. Waterfront Drive, from Avocado Avenue to Acacia Avenue. Section 2: This Ordinance shall be published once in the official newspaper of the City, and the same shall be effective thirty days after the date of its adoption. This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, held on the 11th day of September, 1989, and was adopted on the 25th day of September, 1989, by the following vote, to wit: AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS TURNER, SANSONE, PLUMMER, STRAUSS, HART, COX, WATT NOES, COUNCILMEMBERS NONE ABSENT COUNCILMEMBERS NONE J PFRI
