AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADDING SECTION 12.44.084 TO THE
NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROHIBIT
PARKING AT AN INOPERABLE PARKING METER.
• THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DOES HEREBY
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Section 12.44.084 is added to the Newport Beach Municipal
Code to read as follows:
"Section 12.44.084. Parking at an Inooerable Meter.
No person shall park any vehicle in any parking space where the meter is
inoperative and which is signposted, as provided in this section."
Section 2: The City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once
in the official newspaper of the City, and it shall be effective thirty (30) days after its
adoption.
Section 3: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 9th day of May, 1994, and
adopted on the 23rd day of May 1994, by the following
vote, to -wit:
• AYES, COUNCILMEMBERS SANSONE,
WATT, TURNER, COX, DEBAY
NOES, COUNCILMEMBERS NONE
