AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SECTION
12.40.055(G) OF THE NEWPORT BEACH
MUNICIPAL CODE TO ALLOW PARKING OF
EQUESTRIAN VEHICLES IN SANTA ANA HEIGHTS.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby ordain as
follows:
Section 1: Section 12.40.055(G) of the Newport Beach Municipal Code is
amended adding Subsection 6 which reads:
6. Any motor vehicle or non - motorized vehicle, currently registered
and licensed by the Department of Motor Vehicles, that is parked in
the REQ (SP 7) district of Santa Ana Heights for the express
purpose of loading /unloading or standing for a period not to exceed
72 hours. This exemption is exclusively for vehicles involved with
the transportation of horses and does not pertain to any commercial
vehicle not involved with the movement and placement of horses.
SECTION 2: The City Clerk shall cause the same to be published once in
the official newspaper of the City, and it shall be effective thirty (30) days after its
adoption.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach held on the 8th day of March, 2005,
and adopted on the 22nd day of March, 2005, by the following vote, to wit:

ordinance, being Ordinance No. 2005 -2 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by the
City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 22nd
day of March 2005, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
Ayes: Heffernan, Rosansky, Webb, Ridgeway, Daigle, Nichols, Mayor Bromberg
