COPY 1 RESOLUTION NO. 4 2 A Resolution of Intention of the Board of Trustees of the City 3 of Newport Beach to vacate a portion of Main S rest of the 4 Balboa Tract in Ne..port Beach. 5 --- - - - - -- 6 The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach does hereby 7 resolve and dedlare as follows: 8 First -- That the public interest and convenience of the City 9 of Newport Beach reoures, and that it is the in/ention of the 10 Board of Trustees of said city to order the following public 11 work done, to Grit: 12 Close and vacate all that portion of Main Street in 13 the Balboa Tract as per map of said Balboa Tract recorded 14 in book 4, at page 11, miscellaneous map records of Orange 15 County, California, lying North and Northeast of the North line 16 of Bay Avenue where the same is intersected by said Main street 17 and being a portion of said Main street 50 feet in width and 18 running from said inter - section to Newport Bay, that it is not 19 necessary to take any land therefore. 20 Second -- That the e )gterior boundaries of the district of land 21 to be effected and benefited by the closing and vacating of said 22 portion of Main street as a- fore -said, and to be assessed to 23 pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof are as follows: 24 The exterior boundaries of Blocks G and H of the 25 Balboa Tract as per map thereof recorded in book 4, paell, 26 miscellaneas map records of Orange County, California. 27 Third -- That the street Superint -ndent shall and is hereby 28 instructed to give notice of the passage of Resolution of 29 Intention of the proposed closing and vacating of said portion 30 of Main Street as a- fore -said by posting conspicuously along 31 the line of said contemplated improvement at not more than 32 300 feet in distance apart and not less than three, in all notices of the passage of this Resolution. Saii notices shall I It 1 be headed "Notice of Public ',fork" in letters not less than one 2 inch in length, shall be in legible characters, shall state the 3 facts of the passage of this Resolution, its date and briefly 4 the work or improvements proposed and refer to the Resolution 5 for futher particulars. He shall also owes notices similar 6 in substance to be posted for a period of ten days in the three 7 most public places of said Newport Beach, there being no news - 8 paper, weekly or daily published in said Newport Beach in which 9 said notice can be published as required by law. 10 rourth -- That the City Clerk is hereby directed to post this 11 � Resoluibion of Intention in three of the most public places 12 of said Newport Beach as required by 2w and the ordinances 13 of the City of Newport Beach, and thereupon and thereafter it 14 shall take effect and be in force. 15 The above Resolution of Intention was passed and 16 adopted this 7 day of October, 1907. 17 John Kin 18 resi ent of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach, Calif. 19 20 Approved this 7 day of October, 1907.
