• <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />COPY RESOLUTION NO. 23 COPY <br />A resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of New- <br />port Beach, ordering certain work done or improvement made, <br />namely. that a portion of a public street in the City of Newport <br />Beach be closed up, vacated and abandoned. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport <br />Beach did, on�he 4th day of March, 1912, pass and adopt a resolu- <br />tion declaring its intention to order certain work done or improv <br />ment made and in the said resolution of intention described the <br />work or improvement and the land deemed necessary to be taken <br />therefor, and did further specify the exterior boundaries of the <br />district of lands to be affected or benefited by said work or im- <br />provement and to be assessed to pay the damages, cost and expense <br />thereof by showing in said resolution that no assessment would be <br />necessary for the paying of any cost, damages or expenses, and <br />Whereas, the Street Superintendent of the City of Newport <br />Beach did thereuron, to -wit: upon the 8th day of March, 1912, <br />cause to be and there was conspicuously posted along the line of <br />C <br />the described and contemplated work or improvement, at not more <br />than 300 ft. in distance apart and not less than three in all, <br />notices of the passage of said resolution; the said notices were <br />headed: "Notice of public work ", -in letters not less than one <br />inch in length and the said notices did in legible characters <br />state the fact of the passage of said resolution, together with <br />its date and did briefly describe the work or improvement to be <br />made and did further refer to said resolution for further particu <br />Lars, and <br />Whereas, the said street superintendent did cause and <br />there was published a notice similar in substance in the "Newport <br />News ", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of <br />Newport Beach, which newspaper was, by said resolution, desig- <br />nated for that purpose, said publication of said notice being by <br />four successive insertions in said "Newport News" on the follow- <br />ing dates�o -wit: March 9th - 16th - 23rd -30th- and April 6th- 1912. <br />-1- <br />
