A Resolution of the city of Newport Beach, a municipal
corporation of the sixth class, incorporated under the laws of the
State of California, by the legislative branch thereof, being the
Board of Trustees of said city, determining and declaring that the
Public interest and also the public necessity demands the acquisi-
tion and construction of a municipal improvement in the city of New -
port Beach, to -wit: An electric street lighting system, which shall
consist of light poste, lighting fixtures and lamps, wires, cables
conduits, switches and all other apparatus and appliances necessary
and proper for receiving, transmitting, distributing and using elec-
tric energy for street lighting purposes, in order to carry out the
objects, purposes and powers of the city of Newport Beach;
The cost of which municipal improvement will be too great
to be paid out of the ordinary, annual income and revenue of the
city of Newport Beach.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach, a muni-
cipal corporation of the sixth class, incorporated under the laws of
the State of California, as the legislative branch of said municipal
corporation, does resolve, determine and declare as follows:
+Section 1- Resolved, that it is hereby determined and ddelar-
ed by the Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach, as the legle-
lative branch of said municipality, that the public interest and also
the public necessity of the city of Newport Beach, and of the inhabitants
thereof demands the acquisition and construction of a municipal improve-
ment in the city of Newport Beach; to -wit: &n electric street lighting
system, which shall consist of light poste, lighting fixtures and lamps,
wiree,'cablee, conduits, switches and all other apparatue and appliances
necessary and proper for receiving, transmitting, distributing and us-
ing electric energy for street lighting purposes and to fully carry out
the objects and purposes of ea.d municipal imprIvement.

Section 2- Resolved, that it is hereby determined and declar-
ed that the estimated cost of acquiring and constructing said municipal/
improvement,to -wit : -said electric street lighting system is Twenty thou-
sand (,$20,000) dollars.
