1 <br />2 <br />At 3 <br />4 <br />• <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />29 <br />30 <br />31 <br />32 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82c? <br />COPY <br />COPY <br />A resolution of the City of Newport Beach, a municipal <br />corporation of the sicth classlincorporated under the laws of <br />the State of California, a city of this State, whose corporate <br />limits include a navigable body of water, to -wit: a portion of <br />Newport Bay, a navigable arm of the Pacific Ocean, by the <br />legislative branch of said city, being the Board of Trustees <br />thereof, determining and declaring that the public interest and <br />also the public necessity demands the acquisition and construc- <br />tion of a municipal improvement in the city of Newport Beach <br />to -wit: <br />The construction and improvement of a channel by widening, <br />deepentng, and straightening the channel of Newport Bay in <br />said city by dredging the same; the said channel when widened, <br />deepened and straightened to be approximately 125 feet in width <br />and 10 feet indepth at low water of the Pacific ucean, and to <br />extend from a point at or near Bulkhead Station No. 121, as <br />said Station is located and appearssupon the map showing Harbor <br />Lines of Newport Bay, approved by the War Department fo the <br />United States onthe 18th day of January, 1917, southeasterly <br />pursuing the waters of 1�ewport Bay and within the city of Newport <br />Beach to a point at or near Bulkhead Station No. 107, as said <br />Station is located and appears upon said map, being the shore <br />end of a jetty constructed at the entrance to Newport Bay; <br />The constrcution and improvement of said channel is <br />necessary and convenient of the stablishment, improvement, <br />conduct, nd maintenance of a harbor by the city of Newport <br />Beach in Newport Bay,.mnd is in furtherance of commerce and <br />navigation, and the said municipal improvement is necessary <br />and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers <br />of the city of Newport Beach; the cost of whibh municipal <br />improvement will be too grettto be paid out of the the ordinary <br />anneal income and revenue of the city of Newport Beach. <br />The card of Truatees of the city of Newport Beach, a <br />municipl corporation of the sixth class, incorporated under <br />the laws of the Stabeof California, a city of this State, whose <br />corporate limits include a navigable body of water, as the <br />legislative branch of said municipal corporation, dies hereby <br />reslove, determine anddeclare as follows:- <br />Section 1.
