A RESOLUTION OF TfE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY

OF NEWPORT BEACH MAKING APPLICATION TO THE CALIFORNIA
STATE BOARD OF HEALTH FOR A PERMIT TO DISCHARGE

SEWAGE EFFLUENT INTO THE SANTA ANA RIVER WITHIN THE
SAID DITY

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do
5
resolve as follows:

Section One

That pursuant and subject to all the terms, conditions and
8
provisions of the Public Health Act, of the State of California,
9
approved March 23, 1911, and all amendments theretog application
10
shall be made by the City of Newport Beach, a municipal corpor-
11
ation, to the State Board of Health, of the State of California,
12
for a permit to discharge into the Santa Ana River, near its
13
mouth in the upper portion of Newport Bay, sewage effluent and
14
that the President of slid Board of Trustees of the City of New -
15
port Beach, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause
16
the necessary data to be preparedq and investigations made, and
17
in the name of said City to sign and file such application with t
18
said State Board of Health, it being understood that all expenses
19
of the investigation to be made under the supervision of and
20
hearings to be held by said State Board of Health shall be borne
21
and paid as they accrue by this City, as provided in Section 3 of
22
said Public Health Act.

Section Two.

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Reso-
25
lution and shall cause the same to be entered into the Book of
26
Resolutions and a minute of the passage thereof in the records
27
of the Board of the meeting at which it was passedq and he shall
28
also make a Certified Copy of this Resolution and forward the
•
29
same to the California State Board of Health.

Passed and adopted at a regular called meeting of said
31
Board of Trustees, held on the 14 day of June, 1918.

at a regular meeting of said City Council held at the
