GRADES OF A CERTAIE IORTION OF 31st. STREET Il. SAID CITY.
1he Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve
Las follows:
SECTION ONE.
It is the intention of the Board of Trustees to order the
following change of grade to be made, to wit:
To change and re- establish the official grade of 31st. Street
from the westerly line of Lafayette Avenue to the northerly
prolongation of the easterly line of Block 429 and the southerly
prolongation of the westerly line of Block 529 as per Nap of
Lancaster's Addition to Newport Beach, as recorded in Map Book 5,
page 14, Records of Grange County, California, so that instead of
the present grades the same shall conform to the following
elevation, to wit:
Along the northerly curb line of said 31st. Street the grade
shall be asf ollows:
At a point opposite the northwesterly corner of Lafayette Avenue,
1G7.14. at a point opposite the northeasterly corner of Lafayette
Avenue, 107.1G. At the intersection with the southerly prolong-
ation of the easterly line of the aforesaid Llock 529, 1C7.CG
Along the southerly curb line of said 31st. Street the grade
shall be as follows:
At a point op:ostte the southwesterly corner of Lafayette Avenue,
107.14. At a point opposite the southeasterly corner of Lafayette
Avenue, 1C7.10. At the intersection with the norther..ly prolong-
ation of the easterly line of the aforesaid Block, 429, 1C7-00

The curb lines herein referred to of 31st. Street from the
westerly line of Lafayette Avenue to the southerly prolongation

of the easterly line fo Block 529 and the northerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Block 429 of the aforesaid Nap of Laacas-
ter's Addition are hereby fixed and established at a distance of
29 feet northerly and southerly of and parallel with the center
line of said 31st. Street.
SECTION THREE.
The elevations herein given are for the stops of the curbs of
said 31st. Street, are in feet, and are above the Oi y Datum
Plane, as neretofore adopted and established. At all points
between consecutive designated points on the same side of the
respective streets, the grade shall conform to a true and uniform
gradient along the curb lines between said designated points.
All distances between designated points for which the grade is
herein established are to be measured along the curb lines, un-
less specifically herein otherwise provided.
SLCTIOP; FOUR
The said changes of grade shall be made under the provisions
of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known and
designated as the "Change of Grade Act of 19G9 ".
SECTIGN FIVE.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution
and shall post the same conspicuously for two days or near the
Chamber door of this Board of Trustees and shall cause the same
to be published by two insertitons in the Newport News, a-.weekly
newspaper, printed, published and circulated in said City, which is
hereby designated for that purpose, and said Kewport News is hereby
designatedxka as the rewsapaper in which the Street Superintendent
shall publish notice of the passage of this resolution.
