BEACH, CHAIGIi.G A,--.J RE EbTABLISHIhG THE GRADES OF A CERTAIN
POETiUE OF 31st. STREET IN SAID CITY.
SECT ON ONE
WHEREAS, said Board did on the 2cth, day of September, 1919,
duly adopte a Resolution No. 122, declaring their intention to
change and re- establish the official grade of a certain portion
of 31st. Street hereirafter described; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution of Intention was published and postedl
as provided by law, and notice of the passage thereof was duly
published and posted by the Street Superintendent of said City
as required bt law,and no protests against said change of grade
were filed within the time therefor;
NUV, THERLFORE, the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach do resolve as follows:
The official grade of 31st. Street from the westerly line
of Lafayette Avenue to the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of Block 429 and the southerly prolongation of the easterly
line of Block 529, as per Map of Lcncaster's Addition to New-
port Beach, as recorded in Map Book 5,page 1�P, Reocrds of Orange
County, California, is hereby changed and re- established to
conform to the following elevations, to wit:
Along the northerly curb line of said 31st. Street the grade
shall be as follows:
At a point opposite the northwesterly corner of Lafayette Avenue,
10.14
At a point opposite the northeasterly corner of Lafayette Avenue,
107.10.
At the intersection with the southerly prolongation of the east-
erly line of the aforesaid Block 529, 1C7-00.

Along the southerly curb line of said 31st. Street the grade
shall be as follows:
At a point opposite the southwesterly corner of Lafayette Avenue,
107.14.
At a point opposite the southeasterly corner of Lafette Avenue,
1C7.10.
At the intersection with the northerly prolongation of the easter
line of the aforesaid Block 429, 107.00.
SECTION TWO.
The curb lines herein referred to of 31st. Street from the
westerly line of Lafayette Avenue to the southerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Block 529 and the northerly prolongation
of the easterly line of Block 429 of the aforesaid Map of Lan-
caster's Addition are hereby fixed and established at a distance
of 29 feet northerly and southerly of and parallel with the
center line of said 31st. Street.
SECTION T HFEE.
The elevation herein given are for the tops Lof the curbs
of said 31st. Street, are in feet, and are above the City Datum
Plane, as hEretofore adopted and established. At all points
between consecutive designated points on the same side of the res-
pective streets, the grade shall conform to a true and uniform
gradient along the curb lines between said designated poi2its.
All distances between designated points for which the grade is
herein established are to be measured along the curb line, unless
specifically.-.herein otherwise provided.
6ECTION FOUR.
the said changes of grade shall be made under the provisions
of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, known
and designated as the "Change of Grade Act of 1909."

SECTION FIVE.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution
and shall cause the same to be published by one insettion in
the T.ewport News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and
circulated within the City of Newport Beach, which is t:ereby
designated for that purpose.
