That the public interest and necessity require, and the Board of Trustees hereby order that the following work be done, to -wit: That cement pipe sanitary sewers be constructed in the following loca- tion: In 19th Street and in the first alley southerly of Central Avenue from the manhole already construct- ed at the intersection of the center line of 19th Street and the westerly Prolongation of the center line of the first alley southerly of Central Ave- nue; thence easterly across 19th Street and along the first alley south- erly of Central Avenue to a line 5 feet westerly of and parallel with the westerly line of 17th Street. And in the first alley southerly of Central Avenue from the manhole already constructed at the intersec- tion of the center line of 17th Street and the center line of the first alley southerly of Central Avenue; thence easterly along the first alley souther. ly of Central Avenue to the center line of the first alley westerly of 15th Street; And in the first alley westerly of 15th Street from a line 5 feet south- erly of and parallel with the souther- ly line of Central Avenue southerly to a line 5 feet northerly of and parallel With the northerly line of Ocean Ave- nue; And in the first alley easterly of 15th Street from a line 5 feet souther- ly of and parallel with the southerly line of Central Avenue southerly to a line which is 5 feet northerly of and parallel with the northerly line of Ocean Avenue; — 1 — RESOLUTION NOD A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES ()F THE CITY OF NEW- PORT BEACH ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF 19TH STREET, AND THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTHERLY OF CENTRAL AVENUE FROM 19th STREET TO THE FIRST ALLEY WESTERLY OF 15TH STREET, AND THE FIRST ALLEY WESTERLY OF 15TH STREET BETWEEN OCEAN AVENUE AND CENTRAL AVENUE AND THE FIRST ALLEY EASTERLY OF 15th STREET BETWEEN OCEAN AVENUE AND CENTRAL AVENUE AND THE FIRST ALLEY SOUTHERLY OF CENTRAL AVENUE FROM THE FIRST ALLEY EASTERLY OF 15TH STREET TO 14TH STREET WITHIN SAID CITY, UNDER THE IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 1911. Reference is hereby made to said plans and specifications for a more complete and particular description of said work. Tffat the sa7ifcontemplated work or improvement in the opinion of said Board of Trustees is of more than lo- cal or ordinary public benefit and the said Board of Trustees makes the ex- pense of said work or improvement chargeable upon the District herein- after described and declares that the District in said City of Newport Beach benefited by said work or improvement is described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southerly line of Central Avenue and the easterly line of 14th Street; thence westerly along the southerly line of Central Avenue to its intersection with the westerly line of 19th Street; thence southerly along the westerly line of 19th Street to the northerly line of Ocean Avenue; thence easter- ly along the northerly line of Ocean Avenue to the easterly line of 14th Street; thence northerly along the easterly line of 14th Street to the southerly line of Central Avenue the place of beginning, excepting there- from any lands forming any part of any public street or alley. For further identification and de- scription of said Assessment District reference is hereby made to a map thereof designated as plan No. 261, Assessment District for the . improve- ment of the first alley southerly of Central Avenue and other streets and alleys approved by the Board of Trus- tees of said City on the 20th day of March, 1922, and now on file in the of- fice of the City Clerk, on which the ex- terior boundaries of said District are Indicated by.red border lines- — t 0 0 • • 0 SECTION 3. ­M Iss_fie ?eZySferm ne—i d —and Is hereby given, that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven per cent per annum will be issued hereun- der in the manner provided by the im- provement Bond Act of 1915, the last Installment of which bonds shall ma- ture fourteen years from the End day Of July next succeeding nine months from their date. SECTION 4. Except as hereinbefore stated, all the proceedings for the aforesaid work and improvements shall be had and taken under and in accordance with the provisions of an Act of the Legis- lature of the State of California known and designated as the "Improve - provement Act of 1911" as amended, SECTION S. s 0 That sealed bide for said Rork shall be received up to 7:30 o'clock P.M. of the 8th day of May, 1922, at which time said bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared by this Board; The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice inviting sealed bids for said work, with the specifications therefor con- spicuously for five days on or near the Council Chamber door of this Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the specifications posted or on file, twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper V printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, there being no daily newspaper in said City.
