0 <br />9 <br />t <br />t all �. <br />RESOLUTION NO. --L% <br />A RESOLUTION OVER - RULING PROTESTS IN THE MATTER <br />OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF <br />McFADDEN PLACE AND 21st STREET WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF NEWPORT BEACH. <br />A <br />WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport <br />Beach did, on the 7th day of July, 1924; pass its Resolution of <br />Intention No. 289 to order the improvement of certain portions <br />of McFadden Place and 21st Street within said City, under and in <br />pursuance of the Improvement Act of 1911, and the portions thereof <br />proposed to be improved, and the location and character of said <br />proposed work being directed in said Resolution of Intention, <br />which is hereby expressly referred to for further particulars; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Certain pwners of property liable to be assessed <br />for said work made written protest or objections in writing and <br />delivered the same to the Clerk not later than the hour set for <br />hearing such objections; and <br />WHEREAS, At the time set for hearing protests of objec- <br />tions the Board of Trustees proceeded to hear the same, and all of <br />said protests or objections having been heard and duly considered, <br />and said Board being required to pass upon the same, it is hereby <br />RESOLVED, By the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport <br />Beach,.that all of the said protests and objections against said <br />proposed work or improvement, and against the extent of the district <br />to be assessed,-be and the same are hereby over -ruled and denied. <br />RESOLVED, Further that said Board finds that said protests <br />are made by the owners of less than one -half of the area of the <br />property to be assessed for said improvement. <br />- 1 - <br />
