A RESOLUTION OVER - RULING PROTESTS IN THE MATTER
OF THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
McFADDEN PLACE AND 21st STREET WITHIN THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.

WHEREAS, The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach did, on the 7th day of July, 1924; pass its Resolution of
Intention No. 289 to order the improvement of certain portions
of McFadden Place and 21st Street within said City, under and in
pursuance of the Improvement Act of 1911, and the portions thereof
proposed to be improved, and the location and character of said
proposed work being directed in said Resolution of Intention,
which is hereby expressly referred to for further particulars;
and
WHEREAS, Certain pwners of property liable to be assessed
for said work made written protest or objections in writing and
delivered the same to the Clerk not later than the hour set for
hearing such objections; and
WHEREAS, At the time set for hearing protests of objec-
tions the Board of Trustees proceeded to hear the same, and all of
said protests or objections having been heard and duly considered,
and said Board being required to pass upon the same, it is hereby
RESOLVED, By the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport
Beach,.that all of the said protests and objections against said
proposed work or improvement, and against the extent of the district
to be assessed,-be and the same are hereby over -ruled and denied.
RESOLVED, Further that said Board finds that said protests
are made by the owners of less than one -half of the area of the
property to be assessed for said improvement.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
passed by the Hoard of Trustees of the City ofort Beach at
their regular meeting thereof held on the day of August,
1924, and that the same was passed by the following vote, to —wit:
