RESOLUTION NO. D� <br />• <br />• A RESOLUTICH OF TAE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY <br />OF NEWPORT REACH DECLARING TREIR INTECdTION TO VACATE, <br />CLOSE UP AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES CERTAIN <br />PORTIONS OF L STREET IN SAID CITY. <br />The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve <br />as follows: <br />SECTION I. <br />It is the intention of the Board of Trustees to order certain <br />portions of public streets hereinafter described within said City, to be <br />closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes; the said <br />portions of said streets to be closed up, vacated and abandoned, for public <br />street purposes are described as follows, to -wits <br />That portion of L Street in said City lying north <br />of Central Avenue and particularly described as follows, <br />to -wit: All that portion of Lot Nine (9) of Section <br />Thirty-five (35), Township Six (6) South, Range Ten (10) <br />Test, S. B. B. & M., as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, <br />page 7 of Hisoelianeous Baps, records of Orange County, <br />California, lying between the East line of said Lot Nine <br />(9) and the East lines of Blocks Twenty -eight (28) and "S" <br />of the East Side addition to the Balboa Tract, as shown on <br />a Map recorded in Book 4, page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps, <br />records of Orange County, California, and said lines ex- <br />tended. <br />SECTION II. <br />That the public work herein provided for is for the closing up <br />of those portions of L Street herein described in Section I, and it appear- <br />ing to the Board of Trustees that there are no costs, damages or expenses <br />occasioned by or arising out of said work, and that no assessment is neoess- <br />ary to pay the costs, damages or expenses of said work, and that, therefore, <br />no assessment district of lands, to be affected or benefited by said work <br />or improvements is necessary. <br />SECTION III. <br />The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach, is hereby <br />directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said oon- <br />templated improvements, at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance <br />apart upon said streets, and not less than three in all upon said streets, <br />notices of the passage of this resolution, said notice to be headed, <br />"NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK" in letters not less than one inch in length and <br />• stating the fact of the passage of this resolution, its date and briefly <br />the work of the improvement proposed, being that of vacating L Street herein <br />• described, and the said notice shall refer to this resolution for further <br />partioulars; the said Street Superintendent shall also cause a similar notice <br />to that herein described, to be published by four successive insertions in <br />the Newport News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in <br />the City of Newport Beach (there being no daily newspaper so printed, pub- <br />lished and circulated in said city). <br />
