D� • • A RESOLUTICH OF TAE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT REACH DECLARING TREIR INTECdTION TO VACATE, CLOSE UP AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES CERTAIN PORTIONS OF L STREET IN SAID CITY. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I. It is the intention of the Board of Trustees to order certain portions of public streets hereinafter described within said City, to be closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes; the said portions of said streets to be closed up, vacated and abandoned, for public street purposes are described as follows, to -wits That portion of L Street in said City lying north of Central Avenue and particularly described as follows, to -wit: All that portion of Lot Nine (9) of Section Thirty-five (35), Township Six (6) South, Range Ten (10) Test, S. B. B. & M., as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, page 7 of Hisoelianeous Baps, records of Orange County, California, lying between the East line of said Lot Nine (9) and the East lines of Blocks Twenty -eight (28) and "S" of the East Side addition to the Balboa Tract, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, and said lines ex- tended. SECTION II. That the public work herein provided for is for the closing up of those portions of L Street herein described in Section I, and it appear- ing to the Board of Trustees that there are no costs, damages or expenses occasioned by or arising out of said work, and that no assessment is neoess- ary to pay the costs, damages or expenses of said work, and that, therefore, no assessment district of lands, to be affected or benefited by said work or improvements is necessary. SECTION III. The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach, is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said oon- templated improvements, at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart upon said streets, and not less than three in all upon said streets, notices of the passage of this resolution, said notice to be headed, "NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK" in letters not less than one inch in length and • stating the fact of the passage of this resolution, its date and briefly the work of the improvement proposed, being that of vacating L Street herein • described, and the said notice shall refer to this resolution for further partioulars; the said Street Superintendent shall also cause a similar notice to that herein described, to be published by four successive insertions in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in the City of Newport Beach (there being no daily newspaper so printed, pub- lished and circulated in said city). • • • • SECTION IQ. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this resolution was passed.
