Y 4C .! cs'l t l RESOLUTION NO., A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTEN- TION TO VACATE, CLOSE -UP AND ABANDON FOR .PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES A CERTAIN PORTION OF CARNATION AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY. 0 0 0 0 0 0 The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I. It is the intention of the Board of Trustees to order that portion of the public street hereinafter described, within the said City, to be closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes. The said portion of said street to be closed - up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes is described as follows, to -wit: All that portion of Carnation Avenue (sometimes called 30th Avenue) within the said City, from the southwesterly line of First Avenue(sometimes called 53rd Place) to the northeasterly line of Pacific Drive(sometimes called Electric Way Street). SECTION II. That the public work herein provided for is the closing- up of the portion of Carnation Avenue (sometimes called 30th Ave- nue) herein described in Section 1, and it appearing to the Board of Trustees that there are no costs, damages or expenses caused by or arising out of said work, and that no assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages or expenses of said work, and that, therefor, no assessment district of lands to be affected or ben- efited by said work or improvement is necessary. SECTION III. The Street Superintendent of the City of Nei-port Beach -1- ti ! is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the • line, of said contemplated improvement, at not more than three hun- dred feet in distance apart upon said street, and not less than three in all upon said street, notices of the passage of this Resolution, said notice to be headed,A NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK ", in letters not less than one inch in'length and stating the fact of the passage of this Resolution, its-date and briefly the work of improvement proposed, being that of vacating the portion of Car- nation Avenue (sometimes called 30th Avenue) herein.described, and the said Notice shall refer to this Resolution for further particu- lars; the said Street Superintendent shall also cause a similar notice to that herein described to be published -by four successive insertions in the Newport News, aAweekly newspaper, printed, pub- lished and circulated in said City of Newport Beach (there being no daily newspaper so printed, published and circulated in said City). SECTION IV. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the min- utes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this Reso- lution was passed.
