A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE •" CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO VACATE, OLOSE -UP AND ABANDON, FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES, A CERTAIN PORTION OF CHANNEL ROAD WITHIN SAID CITY. The Board.of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I. It is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach to order that portion of the public street hereinafter described within said City to be closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, the said portion of said street to be closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes is described as follows, to -wit: All that portion of Channel Road within the said City beginning at a point in the westerly line of Lot 21, Block P, of Tract No. 518, as per map thereof recorded in Miscellaneous gaps Book 17, pages 33, 34, 35 and 36, Records of Orange County, 6. , f California, which point is nine (9) feet southerly from the north- westerly corner of the aforesaid Lot 21,(measured along the westerly line of said Lot 21); thence northwesterly around a circular curve with a radius of 855.40 feet concave to the west, along the present easterly line of Channel Road a distance of 142.43 feet to a point in the present westerly line of said Channel Road; thence due South along the present westerly line of said Channel Road a distance of 10.75 feet to a point; thence • southeasterly around a circular curve with a radius of 597.84 • feet concave to the west, a distance of 132.53 feet, to the place of beginning. SECTION II. That the public work herein provided for is the - 1 - 4 - M 1i • closing -up of the portion of the Street herein described in Sec- said work, and that no assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages or expenses of said work, and that therefore no assessment district of lands to be affected or benefited by said work or improvement is necessary. SECTION III. The Street Superintendent of the City of Newport Beach is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated improvement, at not more than three hundred feet in distance apart, gpon said street, and not less than three in all, upon said Street, notices of the passage of this Resolution, said notice to be headed, "NOTICE OF PUBLIC WORK ", in letters not less than one inch in length and stating the fact of the passage of this Resolution, its date and briefly the work of improvement proposed, being that of vacating the portion of Channel Road herein described, and the said notice shall refer to this Resolution for further particulars; the said Street Superin- tendent shall also cause a similar notice to that herein described to be published by four successive insertions in the Newport News, a semi- weekly newspaper, printed, published and circulated in said City of Newport Beach, (there being no daily newspaper so printed, published and circulated in said City. SECTION IV. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this .� Resolution, and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this Resolution was passed.
