A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the city
of Newport Beach declaring its intention to order a

certain alley in the city of Newport Beach vacated,
abandoned and closed up, describing the improvement,

directing the giving of notice.

The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach, as

the city council thereof, does hereby resolve and declare as fol-

Public interest and convenience require it, and it is

to order a certain alley in the city of Newport Beach vacated,

abandoned, and closed up, which alley is specifically described

as located in the city of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State

of California, and being

All that certain alley as laid out and shown upon
a map of subdivision of Block "C" Newport Bay Tract,

as recorded in Miscellaneous Mars, Book 5, page 25,
records of Orange County, California, and further

described as:

Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot 17
of the aforesaid Map of subdivision of Block "C ", New -
23
port Bay Tract; thence northerly along the easterly
line of said alley, which easterly line of said alley
24
is also the northerly prolongation of the easterly
line of the last mentioned Lot 17, to the southwesterly
25
line of Lot 85, of the aforesaid Map of subdivision of "
Block "C ", Newport Bay Tract; thence northwesterly
26
along the southwesterly line of the last mentioned
Lot 85, to its intersection with a lra, which line
27
is fifteen (15) feet westerly of and parallel with
the northerly prolongation of the easterly line of
28
the aforesaid Lot 17;thence southerly along a line,
which line is fifteen (15) feet westerly of and
29
parallel with the northerly prolongation of the
easterly line of the aforesaid Lot 17, to its inter -
30
section with the northeasterly line of the aforesaid
Lot 17; thence southeasterly along the northeasterly
31
line of the aforesaid Lot 17, to the place of beginning.

Section 2.

The improvement which it is the intention of the Board

of Trustees to order done is wholly for the vacation, abandonment,
a
and closing up of the above described alley, and no damage, costs,
5
or expenses will accrue therefor, and no district need be created,
6
and no land is necessary to betaken.

Section 3.

The Street Superintendent shall cause to be posted along
9
the line of the contemplated improvement, at not more than 300 feet
10
in distance apart, but not less than three in all, notice of the
11
passage of this resolution,said notice shall be headed - NOTICE.

OF PUBLIC 71ORKS - in letters not less than one inch in length,

shall be in legible characters, state the fact of the passage of

this resolution, its date, and briefly the improvement proposed

and refer to this resolution for further particulars.

There being no daily newspaper published or circulated

in the city of Newport Beach he shall caase a notice similar in

substance to be published by four successive insertions in

NEWPORT NEWS,a semi- weekly newspaper published and circulated

in the city of Newport Be=^ch, which Newport News is hereby de-

signated for that pupose.

The above and foregoing Resolution of Intention was

introduced, considered, and passed at a regular meeting of the
24
Board of Trustees of the city of Ne:-!port Beach held on the 7th
25
day of December, 1925, by the affirmative vote of the following
26
named member thereof:
