A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR CERTAIN WORK ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF SEAVIEW AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER STREETS AND AVENUES IN CORONA DEL MAR, WITHIN SAID CITY. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I. The work hereinbefore referred to is described as follows: The grading and construction of macadam pavement, cement concrete curbs, cement concrete gutters, cement concrete sidewalks and otherwise improving portions of Fernleaf Avenue, Goldenrod Avenue, Heliotrope Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue, iarkepur Avenue, Marigold Avenue, Narcissus Avenue, Orchid Avenue, Pansy Avenue, Hazel Drive and Bay View Drive; and the grading and con - struction of cement concrete pavement, cement concrete curbs, cement concrete sidewalks and otherwise improving portions of Carnation Avenue, Dahlia Avenue, Fernleaf Avenue, Goldenrod Avenue, Heliotrope Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue, Marguerite Avenue, Marigold Avenue, Poppy Avenue, Hazel Drive, Seaview Avenue and ocean Boulevard; and the grading and construction of cement con - crete pavement, cement concrete curbs, cement concrete walls, cement concrete steps, cement concrete landings, cement concrete inclined walks and otherwise improving portions of Fernleaf Avenue and Ocean Boulevard; and the grading and construction of cement concrete curbs and cement concrete pavement and otherwise improving portions of Coast Boulevard; and the grading and construction of cement concrete pavement upon a certain alley situated in Block A, of Tract No. 673; and the grading and construction of cement concrete - 2 - r I- a • pavement, cement concrete gutters, cement concrete curb, catch basins, reinforced concrete pipe drains, ditches, walls, inlets and otherwise improving portions of Pacific Drive, including the construction of reinforced concrete pipe culverts, reinforced concrete pipe drains, catch basins and other appurtenances, and guard fences in certain of the above mentioned streets; and the construction of cement concrete steps, cement concrete landings, cement concrete curb, cement concrete gutter, together with handrails and other appurtenances in portions of Ocean Boulevard, Goldenrod Avenue, and Heliotrope Avenue, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Interd on No. 396, as adopted by the Board of Trustees of said City on the let day of November, 1926, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 396, and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross- sections on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - seotions and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. SECTION II. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum will be issued hereunder, in the manner pro- vided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. For a particular description of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. - 3 - SECTION III • The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees, of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has been made chargeable upon a district. For a par- ticular description.of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. SECTION IV. The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish a notice of this award twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily newspaper published in said City).
