A Resolution by the Board of Trustees of the bty of
Newport Beach determining that the construction of a reservoir
for the storage of water is necassary,and to take,condemn and �.c-
quire land upon which to construct and maintain the same is nec'z�s-
sary,and diecting the city attorney to commence proceedings for
that purpose.
Resoly =d, that the construction of a reservoir for the
storage of water, as a part of the municipal eater works of the city
of Newport Beach, is necessary for supplying seid city and the in-
habitants thereof with ve.ter for domestic purposes.
Resolved, that for the construetionand maintenance of
said reservoir it has become and is necessary for the city of New-
port Beach to take, acquire, and condemn land lWated in the county
of Orange, State of California,and particularly described as:
A portion of Lot ten hundred thirteen (1013) of First
A�Ld.ition to Newport Eesa Tract, as shown on a man recorded
inBook 8, page 61 of Uiscellaneous i:iaps, records of Orange
County, California, described as Beginning at a point 370
feet west and 180.20 feet south of the intersection of the
center lines of Sixteenth Street and Monrovia Avenue, as
said avenue and street are shown on said map; running
thence west parallel to the north line of anal lot, 290
feet to a point in the west line of said lot, which is
180.20 feet south of the center line of said Sixteenth
Street; thence south along the crest line of s-id lot,
49.80 feet to a point; thence east parallel to the north
line of said lot, 290 feet; and thence north 49.80 feet
to the point of beginning.
Resolved, that the city attorney of the city of Newport
Beach be and is hereby authorized and directed in the name of trz
city of Newport Beach to commence and prosecute in the proper court
s.n action in eminent domain for the acquisition and condemnation
of the land herein described for the purposes set forth in this
r-- solution.
