The work hereinbefore referred to is described as follows; The grading and construction of macadam pavement, cement concrete curbs, cement concrete gutters, and cement concrete side- walks, and otherwise improving portions of Acacia Avenue, Begonia Avenue, Carnation Avenue, Dahlia Avenue, Fernleaf Avenue, Goldenrod Avenue, Heliotrope Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue, Larkspur Avenue, Marguerite Avenue, Marigold. Avenue, Narcissus Avenue, Orchid Avenue, Pansy Avenue, Poppy Avenue, Hazel Drive, Pacific Drive and Avocado Avenue; and the grading and construction of cement concrete pavement, cement concrete curb and cement cono€ete sidewalk, and otherwise improving portions of Avocado Avenue, Acacia Avenue, Begonia Avenue, Carnation Avenue, Dahlia Avenue, Heliotrope Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue, Larkspur Avenue, Narcissus Avenue, Pansy Avenue, Poppy Avenue, Water Front Drive, Hazel Drive, First Avenue and Pacific Drive; and the construction of cement concrete cross gutters across certain portions of Fernleaf Avenue and Goldenrod Avenue; and the grading and con- struction of cement concrete curb and cement concrete pavement and otherwise improving certain portions of Coast Boulevard; and the grading and construction of cement concrete curbs and cement concrete gutters, and otherwise improving certain portions of First Avenue, Second Avenue, Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue; and the grading and construction of cement concrete pavement and cement concrete curb, and otherwise improving certain portions of Canyon Drive, Pacific Drive and County Road, and the construction of - 2 - �• .A r guard fences across certain portions of Dahlia Avenue, Fernleaf • Avenue, Goldenrod Avenue, Iris Avenue, Jasmine Avenue and Larkspur Avenue,.including the construction of reinforced concrete pipe culverts, catch basins and other appurtenances in certain of:the above mentioned streets; and the construction of cement concrete steps, landings and inclined walkway in certain portions of Begonia Avenue and Pacific Drive, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention Nd. 370, as adopted by the Board of Trus- tees of said City on the 15th day of March, 1926, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 370, and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross - sections on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - sections and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees and incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. SECTION II Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum will be issued hereunder, in the manner pro- vided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day of Vuly next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. For a particular description of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. • SECTION III. The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of the said Board of Trustees of more than local or ordinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has been made chargeable upon a district. For a par- a ticular description of said district, reference is hereby made to • said Resolution of Intention. SECTION IV. The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish a notice of this award twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily newspaper published in said City).
