A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NL7PORT Ba,ACH DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO VACATE, CLOSE -UP AND ABANDON FOR PUBLIC STREET PURPOSES CERTAIN PORTIONS OF PACIFIC DRIVE, '"ITHIN SAID CITY. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I. It is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach to order those portions of the public street hereinafter described, within said City, to be closed -up, vacated and abandoned for public street purposes, the said portions of said street are described as follows, to -wit: All that portion of Pacific Drive (formerly called Electric Way Street) as said Pacific Drive (formerly called Electric ^ay Street) is laid out and shown upon a map of Corona del Mar, as recorded in Yiscellaneous ?Aaps,Book 3, pages 41 and 42, Records of Orange County, California, described as beginning at a point in the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of Begonia Avenue (formerly called 29th Avenue), which point is 68.28 feet southwesterly of the intersection of the north %esterly line of said Begonia Avenue and the northeasterly line of the aforesaid Pacific Drive, (measured along the southwesterly pro- longation of the northwesterly line of the aforesaid Begonia Avenue); thence North 63 degrees 32 minutes West, a distance of 13.03 feet to a point in a line, which lire is seventy (70) feet southwesterly of and parallel with the northeasterly line of that part of Pacific Drive lying between Acacia Avenue (formerly called 28th Avenue) and the aforesaid Begonia Avenue; thence northeeaterly along a line, which line is seventy (70) feet southwesterly of and 1 - parallel with the northeasterly line of that part of Pacific Drive . lying between the aforesaid Acacia Avenue and Begonia Avenue, to its i intersection with a line, which line is eighty g y (80) feet southwest - IW erly of and parallel with the northeasterly linenof that part of the aforesaid Pacific Drive lying between Avocado Avenue and the aforesaid Acacia Avenue; thence northwesterly along a line, which line is eighty (80) feet southwesterly of and parallel with the northeasterly line of that part of the aforesaid Pacific Drive lying between the aforesaid Avocado Avenue and Acacia Avenue, to its intersection with the northwesterly prolongation of the southwesterly line of that part of the aforesaid Pacific Drive lying between the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of the afore- said Acacia Avenue and the northwesterly line of the aforesaid Begonia Avenue; thence southeasterly along the northwesterly pro-' longation of the southwesterly line of that part of the last mentioned Pacific Drive, and along the southwesterly line of the last mentioned Pacific Drive, to its intersection with the southwesterly prolonga- tion of the northwesterly line of the aforesaid Begonia Avenue; thence North 40 degrees East, along the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of the aforesaid Begonia Avenue, to tie place of beginning. Also all that.portion of said Pacific Drive described as beginning at a point in the center line of said Pacific Drive, which point is North 50 degrees West, a distance of 104.32 feet.from the intersection of the center line of said Paoifio Drive and the center line of Carnation Avenue (formerly called 30th Avenue) (measured along the center line of said Pacific Drive); thence r South 26 degrees 28 minutes West 47.25 feet, to a point in the northeasterly line of that part of Pacific Drive heretofore vacated by Resolution No. 378, of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach; thence North 63 degrees 32 minutes West - 2 - • alonb the northeasterly line of the hereinbef ore mentioned part of Pacific 'Drive vacated by Resolution No. 378, a distance of 80.84 feet to a point; thence northerly around a circular curve with a radius of thirty (30) feet concave to the East, a distance of 13.46 feet, to a point; thence North 26 degrees 28 minutes East, a distance of 23.17 feet to a point; thence South 78 degrees 47 minutes East, a distance of 64.33 feet, to a point; thence South 50 degrees East, a distance of twenty -two (22) feet, to the place of beginning. SECTION II. That the public cork herein provided for is the closing xp of the portions of the street herein described in Section I, and it appearing to the Board of Trustees that there are no costs, damages or expense occasioned by or arising out of said *,.•ork, and that no assessment is necessary to pay the costs, damages or ex- penses of said -royk, and thi t therefore no assessment distfict of lands to be affected or benefited by said -ork or improvement are necessary. SECTION III. The Street Superintendent of the City of 11cwport Beach is hereby directed to cause to be conspicuously pvbted along the line of said contemplated improvement, at not more than three hundred feet in distance apart, upon said street, and not lees than three in all upon said street, notices of the passage of this Resolution, said notice to be headed, "NOTICE OF PUBLIC :'ORICS", in letters not less than one inch in length and stating the fact of the passage of this Resolution, its date and briefly the :pork of improvement proposed, being that of vacating the portions of Pacific Drive herein described, and the said Notice shall refer to this Resolution for further particulars; the said Street Super- intendent shall also cause a similar notice to that herein described - 3 - CJ I Y.• e . to be published by four successive insertions in the Ne -•port Nears, a weekly newspaper printed,: published and circulated in said City of Newport Beach, (there being no daily newspaper so printed, published and circulated in said City). SECTIO14 IV. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and cause a minute thereof to be recorded in the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Trustees at which this Resolution was passed.
