HomeMy WebLinkAbout414 - Bay Avenue Improvementsb ` 4 • RESOLUTION NO.lzz� A RESOLUTION OF THE�BURD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY Or NETPORT BEACH ORDERING THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF BAY AVENUE WITHIN SAID CITY. 0- -_ -- The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach do resolve as follows: SECTION I. That the public interest and convenience require the work hereinafter described to be done, and therefore the said Board of Trustees hereipy order the following work to be done and improve- ment to be made within said City, to -wit: That Bay Avenue from the northeasterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of A- Street to the northeasterly prolong- ation of the southeasterly line of B- Street, between the south - westerly line of Bay Avenue and the southwesterly curb line of said Bay Avenue, be graded and that cement concrete sidewalk and cement concrete curb be constructed along certain portions of said Bay Avenue, all as more particularly described in Resolution of Intention No. 411, as adopted by the Board of Trustees of said City on the 24th day of January, 1927, and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City. For further particulars, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 411, and to the plans, profiles, drawings and cross - sections on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and according to the specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all of said plans, profiles, drawings, cross - sections and specifications heretofore approved by said Board of Trustees are incorporated herein and made a part hereof, and reference is hereby made thereto for a more particular description of said work. - 1 - • 41 SECTION II The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that serial bonds shall be issued to represent each assessment of twenty -;-five (25.00) Dollars, or more remaining unpaid for twenty (20) days after the date of warrant. For a particular description of said bonds, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of Intention. SECTION III. The said Board of Trustees also determined and declared that the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was, in the opinion of the said Board, of more than local or or- dinary public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has been made chargeable upon a district. For a particular de- scription of said district, reference is hereby made to said Reso- lution of Intention. SECTION IV. That sealed bids for said work shall be received up to 7:30 o'clock P.M. of Monday, the Z[ S "day of March, 1927, at which time said bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared by this Board. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice in- viting sealed bids for said work with the specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days, on or near the Council Chamber door of this Board, and to publish a like notice referring to the spe- oifications posted, or on file, twice in the Newport News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in said City, and hereby designated for that purpose, (there being no daily newspaper in said City).
