THE GENERAL, MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD 3 AND CONDUCTED IN THE CITY OF NE71PORT BEACH ON MONDAY, THE NINTH DAY OF APRIL, 1928. 4 5 Whereas, a general municipal election was held and con- ducted in the City of Newport Beach on Monday, the ninth day of 6 7 April, 1928 as required by law, 8 , And whereas, it appears that notice of said election was duly and legally given, that voting precincts were properly estab- 9 lished, that election officers were appointed and election supplies 10 11 [he urnished and that in all respects said election was held and con- ucted and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed and the 12 eturns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by .13 general laws of the state governing elections in cities of the 14 15 sixth class, 16 And Whereas, the City Council of said City of Newport each met at the council chamber of said City on.Monday, the six - 17 18 teenth day of April, 1928 to canvass the.returns of said election 19 and install the newly elected officers as a result of which the 20 Board finds that the number of votes .cast, the names of the persons 21 voted for and other matters required by law, to be as hereinafter 22 stated, 23 Now Therefore, be it resolved as follows: 24 That said regular municipal election was held and con - 25 ducted -in the City of Newport Beach on Monday, the ninth day of 26 April, 1928, in time, form and manner.as required by law; 27 That there were five (5) voting precincts established for 28 the purpose of holding said election which said precincts were the 29 regular election precincts established for holding general State 30 and County elections in the City of Newport Beach; 31 That the whole number of votes cast in said City at said 32 lection was /®j ; -1- That the names of the persons voted for, the offices •, for which they were voted, the number of votes given in each pre- cinct to each of said persons, together with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire City, are as follows; VOTES RECEIVED. Ellsworth was elected to the office of TRUSTEE of the 3 City of Newport Beach for the FULL TERM of four years; 4 ALSO that Hermann,Hilmer was elected to the office of 5 TRUSTEE of the said City.of Newport Beach.for the FULL TERM of four 6 years;. 7 ALSO, that Mark J. Johnson was elected to the office of 8 TRUSTEE of the said City of Newport Beach for the FULL TERM of four 9 years; 10 ALSO, that Alfred Smith was elected to-the office of 11 Clerk of said City for the term of four years; 12 ALSO, that J. A.
