RESOLUTION 90. J11 .
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BE CH, APPROVING A CERTAIN AGREEMENT DATED
THE A7M DAY OF MAY, 1929, BETWEEN THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, PARTY OF THE
FIRST PART AND IN SAID AGREEMENT REFERRED TO AS THE
"CITY", AND THE PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY, A
CORPORATION, PARTY OF THE SECOND PART AND IN SAID
AGREEMENT REFERRED TO AS THE "RAILWAY ", AND DIRECT-
ING AND AUTHORIZING THE "MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, TO SIGN SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, AND FURTHER DIRECTING AND AUTHOR-
IZING THE CLERK OF SAID CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH TO
ATTEST THE SAGE.
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the ?7d day of
May, 1929, wherein the City of Newport Beach, a municipal
corporation, was named as the party of the first part and re-
ferred to in said agreement as the "Oity", and the Pacific
Electric Railway Company, a corporation, party of the second
part, and in said agreement referred to as the "Railway "; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides for the transfer
to said.City of Newport Beach of .a certain right -of -way for
street purposes upon the consideration therein named.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED: That the terms of
said agreement heretofore mentioned be approved and accepted
as presented; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor of the
ty of Newport Beach be, and he is hereby authorized and
26j1directed to sign said agreement in duplicate on behalf of the City

Newport Beach and that the City Clerk of said City of Newport
, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to attest
agreement and affix the seal of said Oity.of Newport Beach
o, said two copies so signed to be sent by the Clerk of said
