4 OF, APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A CERTAIN INDENTURE
OF LEASE DATED THE let DAY OF MAY, 1929p FRO14 THE
5 PAOIFIO ELECTRIC RAILWAY COMPANY, A CORPORATION
TO THE CITY OF NEFJPORT BEACH, A LUNICIPAL CORPOR-
6 ATION, AND DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH TO SIGN SAID LEASE
q ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF NMORT BEACH, AND FUR-
THER DIRECTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CLERK OF SAID
8 CITY TO ATTEST THE SAME.
9 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
10 City of Newport Beach a certain lease, dated the let day of
11 May, 1929, wherein the Pacific Electric Railway Company, a cor-

po:.ation leases to the City of Newport Beach, upon the conditions
13 vr,d terms therein mentioned, the following described real propert
14 situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
15 Californiao and more
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Electric Railway Company, the same to be filed.

Two (2) Four (4) foot strips of land between
Alvarado and 19th Streets, Newport Beach,

California, the location of said premises be-
ing more particularly shown on an exhibit or j

map attached to said lease and made a part

thereof.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the terms of
22
said lease heretofore mentioned be approved and that said lease
23
be accepted as presented; and
24
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor of the City i
25
of Newport Beach be and he is hereby authorized and directed
26
to sign said lease in duplicate on behalf of said City of Newport
29
Beach and that the Clerk of said City of Newport Beach be, and he I
28
is hereby authorized and directed to attest said lease and affix
i
29
the seal of said City of Newport Beach thereto, said lease so
30
executed to be sent by the Clerk of said City of Newport Beach to
31
said Pacific Electric Railway Company for their signature and
32 I
1 upon the return of said lease duly executed by the Pacific
Electric Railway Company, the same to be filed.
