RESOLUTION NO- 5 7
WHEREAS, Roland Thompson, City Attorney of the City of
Newport Beach, has, pursuant to instructions of the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, prepared and presented to said
City Council for its consideration, a certain agreement amending
and altering a certain lease made and entered into the 9th day
of November, 1927, by and between the City of Newport Beach,
as party of the first part, and J. A. Beek of Newport Beach, as
party of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said agreement altering and amending said lease
having been duly considered and it appearing that the same has
been amended in accordance with the instructions heretofore given
by said City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED. That said agreement
dated this 3rd day of March, 1930, by and between the City of
Newport Beach, as party of the first part, and J. A. Beek and
Carroll B. Beek, his wife, as parties of the second part, amend-
ing and altering that certain agreementof lease heretofore
entered into between said parties and dated November 9th, 1927,
be, and the same is hereby approved as written.'
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said contract be, and the
same is hereby approved as written, by the City Council of said
City of Newport Beach, and the .Mayor of said City and the City
Clerk of said City shall, and they are hereby authorized to
sign the same on behalf of said City, and the Clerk is directed to
have the parties of the second part, J. A. Beek and Carroll B.
Beek, his wife, execute said agreement within two days from date
hereof, and the said agreement shall thereupon be filed and become
a valid agreement as between said parties.
