3 WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council a j
i
4 certain written petition signed by 139 qualified electors of the y
5 City of Newport Beach, petitioning this Council to annex certain
6 new uninhabited territory described in said petition; and
i
7 WHEREAS, it likewise appearing that said petition has
8 been signed by more than one - tenth' (1 /10) in number of the
9 qualified electors of this city, computed upon the number of votes
10 cast at the last general municipal election held in this city;
it and
12 WHEREAS, said petition is in form required by law; and
13 WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed is new
14 uninhabited territory and the descritpion of said new uninhabited
15 territory is correctly set forth in said petition.
16 I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said petition be
171 filed and that the Clerk of the City Council of this City notify
18 the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, State of
19 California, of the filing of this petition.

21 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
22 and regularly introduced
