A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, GRANTING A WRITTEN LICENSE
TO CARL SALDANO, ET AL., OF NEWPORT BEACH,
GRANTING THEM THE EXCLUSIVE PIER RIGHTS TO HAVE
AND SELL LIVE BAIT ON THAT CERTAIN PIER OWNED BY
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, BEING THAT PIER WHICH
EXTENDS INTO AND OVER THE PACIFIC'.00EAN FR0M THE
SOUTHERLY END OF MAIN STREET, BALBOA, BEING THE
WHARF ERECTED BY THE FUNDS OF MUNICIPAL IMPROVE-
MENT DISTM CT NO. 1, OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS, UPON CERTAIN CONDI-
TIONS SET FORTH IN A WRITTEN CONTRACT THIS DAY PRE-
SENTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
OF SAID CITY AND THE CITY CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXE-
CUTE SAID CONTRACT FOR SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions, the City Attorney of
the City of Newport Beach has this day prepared a contract and
presented the same for consideration to the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, in which said contract the City of Newport
Beach grants to Carl Saldano and cJ� of
. C?/�,��
Newport Beach, a license to have the exclusive pier rights to hat
and sell live bait on that certain pier owned by the City of
Newport Beach, being that pier which extends into and over the
waters of the Pacific Ocean from the southerly end of Main Street
Balboa, being the wharf erected by the funds of Municipal Improve
ment District No. 1, of the City of Newport Beach, upon certain
conditions and specifications set forth in said agreement, and
for the time specified in said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said contract be,
and the same is hereby approved as written, by the City Council
of said City of Newport Beach, and the Mayor of said City and the
City Clerk of said City shall, and they are hereby authorized to
sign the same on behalf of said city, and the Clerk is directed t,
have the parties of the second part, Carl $aldano and � -0.
