RESOLUTION N0. 6 /0
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, GRANTING TO HUGH EVANS AND COMPANY,
A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, A CERTAIN LEASE COVERING
CERTAIN LAND BELONGING TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
FOR CERTAIN SPECIFIED PURPOSES, FIXING THE TIME AND
CONSIDERATION THEREOF, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY AND THE CITY CLERK OF SAID
CITY TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE IN THE NAME OF AND ON
BEHALF OF SAID CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions, the'City Attorney
of the City of Newport Beach has this day prepared a lease and
presented the same for consideration to the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, in which said lease the City of Newport
Beach leases to Hugh Evans and Company, a California Corporation,
for a period of two years commencing June 12th, 1930, that cer-
tain real property situate in the County of Orange, State of
California, and more particularly described and mentioned in the
lease referred to, upon the considerations therein mentioned;
and
WHEREAS, it likewise appearing to saidCity Council
of said City of Newport: Beach, that the considerationsfor which
said lease is given, are in all respects adequate and
sufficient and that the City of Newport Beach has no immediate
need for said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said lease be
and the same is hereby approved as written, by the said City
Council of the City of Newport Beach, and the Mayor of said City
and the City Clerk of said City shall, and they are hereby
authorized to sign said lease in the name of and on behalf of
said City.
