RESOLUTION NO. G 43/
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, ACCEPTING AND APPROVING A CERTAIN CONTRACT MADE
A14D ENTERED INTO BETWEEN THE NEWPORT BEACH BOAT BUILD-
ERS o INC. 0 A CORPORATION, PARTY OF THE FIRST PART, AND
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF
ORANGE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, PARTY OF THE SECOND PART,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY AND THE CITY
CLERK OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF
OF AND IN THE NAME OF SAID CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH.
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, a certain contract dated the
day of July, 1930, by and between the Newport Beach
Boat Builders, Inc. , a corporation, as party of the first part
and the City of Newport Beach, a municipal corporation, as party
of the second part, which said agreement has been duly executed
and signed by the Newport Beach Boat Builders, Inc., by its
President and Secretary thereunto duly authorized; and
WHEREAS, said contract provides that the said party
of the first part shall perform certain work and furnish certain
materials and equipment in connection therewith, all in accordane
with said contract herein referred to, upon the conditions and
provisions of said contract; and
WHEREAS, it is for the best interest and advantage
of said city that said agreement be executed by said City, upon
the terms and conditions in said contract set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said contract
be approved as written and that the same be signed by the Mayor
of the City of Newport Beach, and the City Clerk of said City of
Newport Beach, on behalf of said City of Newport Beach, in
duplicate, and that one copy thereof be filed with the Clerk of
said City, and the other sent forthwith to the party of the first
part.
