A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DE-
CLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE IM-
PROVELMM OF RIVER AVENUE AND CERTAIN
OTHER STREETS, ALLEYS, AND EASE;iENTS IN
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA; DECLARING THE MK TO B E OF
HORE THAN LOCAL OR ORDINARY PUBLIC BENE-
FIT AND DESCRIBING THE DISTRICT TO BE
BENEFITTED BY SAID TIORK AND TO PAY THE
COSTS AIM EXPENSES THEREOF; AND DETERUINING
THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT
UNPAID ASSESSMENT& FOR THE COSTS AND EX-

opinion of the said City Courcil, is of more than local or ordinary
public benefit., and said City Council hereby makes the expenses of

Reference is hereby made to said plat, so on file for a further,full
and more complete description of said assessment district and the
said plat so on file as aforesaid,.ehall govern for all details as to
the extent of the said assessment district.
DESCRIPTION OF BONDS
SECTION 4. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to repr.•eent
unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of 7 per oent per
annum gill be issued hereunder, in the manner provided by the im-
provement Bond Act of 1915, and amendments thereto, the last install-
ment of ahioh bindo shall mature nine (9) years from the second day of
July, next succeeding ton (10) months from their date.
NOTICE AN D PLACE OF HEARING
SECTION 5. Notion is hereby given that on fionday, the 20th day of
October, 1930, at the hour of 7:30 otolook P.M. in the Council Cham-
ber of the City Hall of the said City of Newport Beach, any and all
persons having any objections to the proposed ;cork or improvement
or to the extent of the district, or both, may ap•�car before the
said City Council and show cause why said proposed improvement should
not be carried out in accordance .,ith this Resolution.
That all percons desiring to so appear should file
with the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach before the hour

herein set a written protest against the sale+ cork or the assess-
ment district proposed to be asseesed, or both.
• PUBLICATION OF RLSOLUTION OF INTENTION.
SECTION 6. The Hewport News, a vaoekly newspaper pridcod, published
and circulated in the City of Necaport Beach is hereby tesignated as
the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention shall be publich-
ed, and for the publication of all other notices, resolutions, orders
or other matters required to be published by the provisions of the
Improvement Act of 1811, and amendments thereto, hereinafter referred
to, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to cause this
Resolution of Intention to be published by two (2) insertions in
said newspaper in the manner and form required by law. Tho.City
Council does not deem it adnisable that the City C1 =•rk mail copies
of the notice of improvement to owners, or reputed oranera, and he is
not required to wail the same.
POSTING OF NOTICE OF ILIPROVEMENT
SECTION 7. The Strut Su!•r;rintendent of said City shall, after the
adoption of said Resolution of Intention, cause to be conspicuously
posted along the lines of eaid contemplated :cork or improvement and
along all the open streets within the hereinbefore described assess -
went district, notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention,
in the manner ancr form required by lacy.
IMPROVE,H NT ACT.
SECTION S. Except as hereinbefore stated, all the procoedings for the
aforesaid ,cork and improvement shall be had and taken and in accordance
with the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Cal-
ifornia, designated as the "Improvement Act of 1911", approved.April
?, 1811, and amendments thereto.
