Vow <br />RESOLUTION NO. 648. <br />• MEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is contemplating <br />in connection with the County of Orange, and State of California, <br />the separation of grades at F point known as the "Arches "; and <br />7FEREAS, in consideration of certain concessions <br />made by the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a Corporation, to <br />the City of iiewport Beach, the City of Dewport Beach has agr_ed <br />to convey to the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, a Corporation, <br />the real property hereinafter described;.and. <br />7:HME11�.-, it satisfactorily appearing to the City <br />Council of the City of Newport Beach that it is for the benefit <br />and best interests of the City of Newport Beach to dispose of <br />said real property hereinafter described, for the reasons <br />herein set forth; and <br />JT-MAS, it further satisfactorily appearing to scAri <br />City Council that s ^.id real property is vacant and unsuitable, <br />and unnecessary for use by ss.id City, ---nd is not now bean; used <br />by said city; and <br />l_'HEREAS, said property is not, noi/is any portion <br />of the same, tide 1-=nds or harbor front; and <br />" /HEREeiS, the City Council of the City of Newport <br />Beach deems.that an adequate and sufficient consideration has <br />been offered to the City of Newport Beach by the Southern <br />Pacific Railroad Company, corporation. <br />NOCi, THMEFORE, RE IT RESOLVED; That it woul.i be <br />for the benefit and best interests of the City of Newport Beach <br />that the City of ldenpoit Beach grant to the Southern Pacific <br />Railroad Company, r, corporation, by grant deed, all th.t cer- <br />tain real property flituate in the County of Or ,-nge, State of <br />California, and more nartitcularly described as follows, to —nit: <br />
